Build a habit of meditation (and learn to stop being afraid of it)

I truly believe that meditating on a regular basis will make me calmer, stronger and improve my mental and physical health. I really really want to develop this habit. However, over the years I've struggled to make meditation a habit and haven't acheived any true lasting benefits.

I think there are a number of reasons for this, and I'd like to explore and combat these. 

Perhaps being accountable for this habit will help!
