I finally started sprouting! I’ve tried it many years ago and it didn’t turn out quite as well. But after taking Permacrafters' How to Grow Sprouts & Microgreens class it was super easy! These are broccoli sprouts. They are super high in sulforaphane - a phytonutrient that has antioxidative properties and helps prevent and treat cancer, liver and brain diseases. It is contained in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower - but broccoli sprouts have up to 25 times more of it than broccoli.

I add them to salads, tacos, wraps or sandwiches - like here on a piece of whole wheat spelt bread with vegan butter - and even into smoothies.
