- First Collection

This was our very first collection. We started off with 2 graphic t shirts and 4 cut n sew pocket t shirts. We did the lookbook right in the backyard of our house with all our bestfriends. We didnt really have a story behind this collection or a theme we just went to the fabric store and picked out what we liked. 

                      This graphic T shirt has our logo "money mike" in a boxed scatterd patten.

-Our second collection: 

We wanted to lean towards a more high end line with cut n sew pieces and embroidery. This is when we realized that the streetwear industry has been taken over by graphic t shirts and we wanted to steer away from that by not being just like the next brand. Fortunately for us, a good friend of ours owns a lazor cutter so we used that for cut n sew purposes. We'll explain each piece as you go down.

Meaning/History Behind The Brand: Breadwinners Clothing Co. is a brand out of Philadelphia, Pa. and we originated in 2012. When somebody thinks of the word "breadwinners" they automatically think of money and being flashy with it. But  that has nothing to do with this brand. The meaning behind Breadwinners comes from the lifestyle we live. In this crazy world we all are living in one thing is for sure, money controls everything around us.  It is unfortunent that money has the power to make or break us. Life or Death. Breadwinners is dedicated to the people who strive to make ends meet.  Do what they have to do to put food on the table for the family.  We all have the power to think and create in this world you just have to put your mind to it 100% physically and mentally. Most importantly, make money, dont let the money make you. Break bread, live easy.

Mission Statement: As we all know, the streetwear industry is going down hill with all these graphic t shirt lines. Our mission is to combine streetwear and menswear and create somthing that Kanye West could buy but also have something that your average college student can afford that isnt just a regular t shirt. We are going to create high quality garments that you can find in boutqiues. We didnt want to be a brand that just gives away free shirts and always has they're face in the scene because thats how you get played out. We keep our products exclusive and limited because everybody wants what they cant have, right? We're kind of like those dudes who stand in back of the club all night staying super low key and peep the whole scene out but they know who we are. When you see that bWc logo its one of those things like if you know, then you know..

Slogans: BREAK BREAD & LIVE EASY: WE CREATED THIS BRAND BECAUSE WE HAVE A DEEP LOVE  FOR ART AND FASHION. THIS SLOGAN EXPLAINS IT ALL THOUGH. WE'RE STUGGLING NOW TO BREAK BREAD WITH OUR LOVED ONES LATER IN LIFE TO LIVE AN EASY LIFE. WE REPEAT THIS SLOGAN TO OURSELEVES EVERYDAY TO REMIND OURSLEVES WHY WE'RE DOING THIS

                  "MO BREAD, MO' PROBLEMS": THE MORE BREAD YOU HAVE IN YOUR POCKET THE MORE PROBLEMS YOU RUN INTO

                     BREAKING BREAD SINCE 91': WE WERE BORN IN 1991. SO THIS SLOGAN STATES THAT WE WERE BORN BREADWINNERS 

                                                                 

Target Market: Our target market is the kid who loves to get they're hands on limited pieces. The kid who knows he has steez but never speaks on it. The kid who hates hypebeast. The kid who doesnt wear what everybody else is wearing. The kid that goes skating but when night time hits he dresses up in high end streetwear garments. 

                                                       

OUR FALL 2013 COLLECTION PREVIEW:   "Money Is The Root Of All Evil"

In this collection we really focused on the theme of "Money is the root of all evil."  The 7th sin/ Greed print was inspired by the Seven deadly sins.

  • Pride

Our favorite one was greed...Greed is the defining characteristic of human nature.  It is so powerful that it can cause people to do evil things in order to be rich. We chose this theme to symbolize the evil that may come along with power and wealth but, most importantly, "EVIL IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT."
