Brainstorm / Sketches

I am reading The Good Spy by Kai Bird.  The Good Spy is a biography/historical account of the CIA Operative, Robert Ames and the events leading up to the 1983 bombing of the American Embassy in Beirut, Lebonon.  I have a couple ideas that I am running with.  Ames' trademark look was aviator glasses and cowboy boots, even when he was in the Middle East.  I was thinking of turning the aviators sideways to create the "B" for "Bird" and in the lenses, have a reference to the conflicts in the Middle East in the past and the present, since the Beirut bombing was a catalyst for many of the Middle East conflicts in the 21st Century.  The images I am thinking of using in the glasses are portions of maps, the Beirut Embassy and CIA headquarters or White House, or the profiles of Ames and his agent, Ali Hassan Salameh.  There is also a quote that has stuck with me throughout my research that is used to describe the on-going relationship between the Arab and Western world: "Fog of mistrust."  There is something in that image but I have yet to figure out how to use it. Thoughts?
