Books, Coffee and Crafts

My home unfortunately doesn't have a good light spot, there's a tiny corner in the kitchen which is fleeting sunlight that's either super glaring.

From my living room, it doesn't have an ideal lighting situation, often times over glaring (like below) or too dark and I have to turn to artificial lighting which I desperately try not to.

Here are some usual props that are often seen in my images.

There isn't enough space in the kitchen to set up a flat layout to shoot, so I use my 2m long wooden table as most of my background because I like the mood and texture of it.

My feed consists mostly of breakfast, coffee breaks and books, as well as food photos when I'm dining out. Sometimes of my cat.

I usually use Snapseed to edit my photos, I used to use VSCO and got overwhelmed.

I've tried many variations to add to props and textures and mostly consistent with the wood table background.

Occasionally I add foliage and flowers which I find really makes a difference and adds layers to the flat lay.
