Decided to work a bit differently on this project and keep things subtle and monochromatic. I used the blend techniques shown but kept colorful gradients at bay for now.
I’ve been working on a separate branding system around sea object discovery and wanted to try some of the techniques shown in this class on these more figurative elements.
I added some additional texturing in both Illustrator and Photoshop to keep things looking uniform. Not sure why the kelp one is coming out blurry and pixelated. I removed all texturing and grain. Here are a few my visual experiments.
