Remi in Blue.

My very first try using digital watercolor since I got my iPad a little over a year ago. Actually my first use of watercolor ever - I'm used to using acrylic and latex paints, as in the kind you have to wash out brushes for! Going with the iPad is definitely keeping the mess down!

My pet portraits are what I call a cross between comic book and photo realism, so I'm making myself get out of my comfort zone.

I'm used to using rich color, so I'm posting both the darker and lighter versions with the darker coming from doubling the base blue layer. Then to compare to the original, below is Remi's original portrait that I used just my outline from to make the baby blue rendition.
