Dear Ms. Sims,

Thank you for your email and your interest in my work. May I ask how you found out about me and my work? I'm always grateful for new collaborators from referrals or a promotional strategy.

I have reviewed the Swanky Publishing website and some of your prior projects, and I agree that we are a great fit for each other. I am available and very happy to work on the Story of the Three Little Pigs. I am excited to work with you in creating a great modern version of the book.

Before we move forward with rough concepts, I have a few clarifying questions. You indicated a deadline for concepts; what is the final product deadline for the cover and the book project as a whole? Do you have a preference for final file format (.tif, .eps, etc.) and image resolution (300dpi, 600dpi, etc.)? I assume the 6 x 7 inch size is width x height, is that correct?

You mention using bold colors, do you have a specific color palette in mind? I am envisioning bold and modern as a flat, geometric style with thick, angular line-work, and bright, saturated colors; is that the feel you are going for? Lastly, will payment be submitted online upon successful completion of the project, or are you open to two installments: prior to and after completion?

Thank you again for reaching out to me for this project. I am anxious to get started and bring your vision of a modern Three Little Pigs to life. Please feel free to contact me via email at (email address) or phone at (phone number) any time.
