Begin Anywhere

My quote for this project: "Begin anywhere." -- John Cage  (Advice that I try to follow in my life!)

It puts me in mind of a saying my mother was very fond of: "Do something, even if it's wrong."  (A quick Google search finds lots of examples of this phrase, but I don't know what the origin is.)

I had many other choices of phrases and quotes to choose from.  My absolute favorite is a quote by Voltaire: "Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats."  However, being mindful of the advice about keeping the words for this project as few as possible, I (sadly) decided against it.

I also thought about a phrase I use all the time: "This too shall pass."  However, I am going to spend a lot of time with these words, and I want them to be a little less stoic than that.

So.....

Right off the bat, I began thinking about these words associated with a circle somehow.  "Begin anywhere" means there's no real beginning point, just the one you choose at the outset.  So why not use something with no beginning and no end?  A circle!

Some Googling gave me the start of a mood board for words in circles:
