Before I Die... Asheville...

When I saw this project I was excited because it was a few day before I headed out on a road trip from Baton Rough, Louisiana to the east coast. During this trip I visited Asheville, North Carolina and decided that it was the perfect city for this project. I had my Fuji X100 with me for this trip and that’s where all of the photos came from. My photos for the project are organized in chronological order just because that’s how I saw them in person.

BIRDS EYE

Out of the 5 photos I thought that the birds eye photo was going to be the hardest photo to find. I end up finding the shot fairly easy, I don’t shoot many photos from above and really enjoyed it so I will defiantly be doing more of these types of shots. This is a photo looking down on the porter potty section of a small street festival.

POSTCARD

Unfortunately I was not about to make into the mountains to get a really wide shot for my postcard image, but I think this image gets the job done.

SIGNS OF LIFE

For this section of the project I didn’t want to just put a picture of people walking down the road, I wanted to reveal emotion and I think a tattoo can reveal a lot about a person and their life.

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

Before shooting this image I shoot many images in this alleyway. While making my way down this alley I noticed that many people used this back street as a walkway so I decided that this would be the perfect spot for middle of the road shot.

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

During my exploration of Asheville I went down many alleyways and that is were this image derived from. This is an image of rock balancing which is considered an art of discipline.
