before - new york public library
i've been shooting in raw this year and sometimes my dynamic range & exposure are off. white balance is also a challenge indoors making me feel like the goldilocks of color balance - too blue, too red, etc.
main edits : cropped, lens correction, adjusted white balance with the eyedropper, recovered blown highlights in the windows & lights using information in the histogram, reduced shadows in the coat using the brush tool, graduated filter along the top, increased clarity, noise reduction.
before - central park
this guy went down the hill once and was on his way looking very happy, but he left me with the color blues.
main edits : cropped, lens correction, adjusted white balance with the eyedropper, reduced shadows, increased vibrance & contrast.
before - elevated subway
we don't really see icicles in nyc and this photo was taken through a dirty, scratched plexiglass window into the sun.
i just wanted to see how far i could take this photo and used just about every tool we learned about in class.
thanks so much for having a look and your feedback is most welcome, especially any tips for improving my nemesis - white balance.
