Becoming more comfortable with silence

I've found that I don't do well with silence (and boredom). Ever since my early teens I've been waking up to music and falling to sleep to podcasts and feel very uncomfortable if I don't have access to music and often unable to sleep if I can't listen to a podcast.

I'm hoping that meditating on a regular basis (which I've done for a month) will make me more comfortable with silence and I truly feel that it's already helping. I now feel more comfortable when I'm outside on my bike without my headphones and I've also been able to fall asleep to guided meditation.

I'm grateful for discovering how beneficial meditation seems, not only for becoming more comfortable with silence, but also for calming my wandering mind.
