Character Illustration: From Concept to Final Artwork

Aaaaaaw, this bear is the cutest. Love it!

So cute!  Looks great with pretty colors. What kinds of textures and brush textures did you use? How did you achieve those lines on the bear's snout and mouth? Thank you.

Thank you Nancy. The textures and lines were added using Photoshop. The base textures were created using various watercolour brushes. As for the fine snout lines, I believe I used a finer gouache brush. Most of the brushes used here were discovered thanks to the teacher's shared class resources.

For this project, I decided to illustrate something simple like a bear. I'm excited to have learned some new techniques.
