Be in the world

A friend of a friend posted this photo; I can't take credit for it, but if you're interested, I can find his name.  I liked the original which had the tiger immersed in algae covered water.  The stark contrast between the tiger's orange color and the green algae made it really striking.  After outlining the tiger, I found that any background I added was disappointing.  This strange gradation prompted the idea that the tiger's stripes should remain entact regardless of the context.  That's what integrity is all about, right?  I'd be eager to hear any comments you might make:  comments about the photo, the photoshop technique, or the idea.
