The Art & Science of Drawing
Basic Skills: Getting Started with Drawing
I found this quite challenging. I am so conditioned and comfortable to drawing using the tripod grip and marking my lines in a specific way that changing was very difficult. Changing to the overhand grip and using my shoulder as the source of movement for mark making was so foreign to me that it was as if I was learning to draw for the first time. My accuracy is completely thrown off as I struggle with pantomiming. Getting the speed right is a challenge.
OH SO CHALLENGING ... It's fabulous!
I have done this class twice once back in August & September 2020 when I was first introduced to Skillshare and again recently (May & June 2021). I will most likely retake these classes again and again.
I wanted to attach these pictures but the lines were too light for the camera to show. I have more than 4 pages filled with figure eights, scribbles, circles, ovals, waves, curls, swirls, and lines going in all directions.
Circles & Ovals
I have only attached 1 picture of each as I have lots of pages filled with Circles and Ovals. In addition to the 100 circles and ovals assigned I also practice 10 minutes a day drawing them (except from September 2020 to May 2021).
