Bangkok's Not My Home

Part one: Creating a Body of Work

Here is my set of concept photographic work I curated for my exhibition last month. This work is inspired by a song I familiar since I was a child.

Bangkok’s Not My Home

Wake up in the dawn,
Journey into jungle of concrete
Building many beautiful places I will never stay
Dreaming for making a big time, for a better life of people we care far away It had been so long since I left home
But things aren’t gonna work out as thought
I'm feel alone and wanna get out of here
'Cause Bangkok's not my home

Inspired by a song "New York's Not My Home" by Jim Croce

Part two: Evaluating the Work

I believe I am in the beginning of stage two.  I am quite familiar with my gears and I have been shooting for long enough since the film era. I had my photographic exhibition for 3 times in the last 3 years. However, I still not 100% satisfy about the quality of my works, mostly on how to deliver its' "essence" through difference form of art works.

Action Steps to move out of this stage:

1. Fill in myself with other art, for example, painting, music, etc.

2. Study more on the "Thinking Process" of all masters like Henry Cartier Bresson, Robert Frank, Walker Evans, Martin Parr, Weegee, to name just a few.

3. Learn more on "photo editing" through portfolio review.
