Autumn leaves

Autumn leaves - student project

# Anne ButeraAutumn leaves - image 1 - student projectThis is my first posting here. I am a beginner with watercolor and am really enjoying it. I thought I had more detail in these Gingko leaves and the maple seeds, but now they look rather flat. Alas, more practice and experimenting.Autumn leaves - image 2 - student project

I used to do pencil drawing, so pen and ink is more familiar. Can't erase, so it is good practice to not overthink things or make them perfect.

I enjoyed making the swatches of the things I picked up in my yard. I was inspired by the lower left, large leaf with dark edges. So, with more practice since painting the top ginkgo leaves and maple seeds, these leaves look better to me. I think I got in more detail.

This was a great class in exploration.
