I used this assignment as an opportunity to edit some photos I took over the weekend. I started off crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, walked around Dumbo for a bit, then went to Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. I wanted to use this time to test out a new lens I had just gotten, so I just went out with no set agenda to explore for a bit.

I normally edit photos on VSCO or Afterlight on my iPhone, even when I use my dslr. I created a photoshop action to slightly adjust the contrast, exposure, and make it black and white. I found it hard to make one action work for multiple images, as they would each need to be adjusted afterwards. But after several trials and errors, I do like the effect this one has on most photos.

This particular photo is from the 67th floor of Rockefeller Center looking towards the Empire State Building. You can see more of these on my instagram: @katisidro

Let me know what you think, and where do you like to wander around on a nice day?
