Arcadia: Tom Stoppard's greatest play?

Here's a fabulous explanation of the story and enduring relevance of this play:

"the human heart beats to an iterated algorithm"

I'm fascinated by the conflict and balance of the rational and the romantic; chaos and order, and how we discover that the things we take to be 'art' are really also underpinned by laws of science.

I don't think the covers I've seen have given enough credence to the sexiness of the algebra: they're painterly and pay lip service to science via slightly cliched Newtonian apples. Love to see something with more punch that's more integrated and more of a reflection on just how cleverly the story and ideas are woven into the play.

Currently listening to the audiobook (dramatised) version of the play on my ipod :)
