Of the studies, I found the short fur the most challenging, and the above is my second attempt. I still don't like it. I'm happy with the other ones, though. And I learnt a lot even if I used a slightly different approach sometimes.

I am happy with my fox, but the mistakes are staring at me. I originally thought it had too much black on the neck and the ears are a bit icky as well as the nose. Still, I haven't really painted animals much before this, I think it's a good start.

I like this one, too, particularly the texture on the neck and chest. I would have liked the wing feathers to be more... feathery as in fluffy. The tail feathers are a bit less defined than they could be.

I am very pleased with this one. I can see some mistakes and the black didn't spread as well as I'd have liked - that's student grade paints for you, I guess.
