Ancient Garden

I used three images to create the final image:

I started with the image of the garden: I used the technique shown of duplicating the layer, and blending it to create symetry. I then played with exposure and color balance to change the tone, I added gradients (both linear and radial) to change the direction of light. This is what it looked like after.

I did not want to leave it perfectly symetrical and centered, so I added the building I shot in Italy on vacation a while back. Again, I duplicated, flipped, and blended it, but pulled it appart and erased out the little girl.

Finally I added the black trees ontop, but took the opacity down far enough that they're barely noticible. I think they just add nice texture!

Finally I cropped the whole thing.

Here it is again with a black boarder. Since the overall tone of the image is dark, the white background seems to be sucking out the colors a bit.

I hope you like it!!
