An Artistic Journey into Creativity

An Artistic Journey into Creativity - student project

I started off in the "Basic Skills / Getting Started with Drawing Course" and enjoyed it. I thought that I was beginning to get a handle on how to draw until I started the "Dynamic Mark Making / Drawing with Expression and Creativity" course and found that I didn't have a sense of what it meant to draw with expression or with creativity. I struggled to find different ways to draw the same object. I was getting frustrated and so I took Brent up on his suggestion of trying this course to see if I could find my creative voice and expressionism in order to be able to go back and complete the second course and have more confidence in doing so.

Below are my 3 inanimate objects that I chose to draw. I drew them using reference images as I didn't have any physical fruit on hand. I started the drawings using a graphite pencil and then chose to finish them using Castle Arts colored pencils as a way to help create dimension and shading. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
