All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy

I got given a chance to do an online tute at work, so I pounced! I've been a great fan of Jessica's for a while now and I dove in without knowing the full extent of this particular class. It's been a little while since I've read this book, but I have alot of nostaglic feels for it. I know there's not an abundance of brainstorming and such, which should be probably 90% of this piece. This all took place in one day at work, have a peek and tell me what you reckon!

Throughout the book John Grady Cole is flirting with mortality in way one or another, from the outset of the story he is affected by death. The noose also symbolises his relationship with Blevins, and his affair with Alejandra ~ John Grady Cole enters into these situations through his innocence and they both end up leaving him alone, yet alive. His roping skills are also integral to livelihood as a cowboy.
