All In

Step 1: Text Selection - “Ace” Shaw from The Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters

I NEVER saw any difference

Between playing cards for money

And selling real estate,

Practicing law, banking, or anything else.

For everything is chance.

Nevertheless

Seest thou a man diligent in business?

He shall stand before Kings!

Step 3: Logline

When a reckless poker player places a high stakes bet for love, he's determined to win at any cost.

Synopsis for Skillshare Team:

Ace Shaw is a young, skilled and confident poker player, who knows what he wants. He is ready to settle down but needs to put his house in order before taking that next step. Ace, first, must close one chapter of his life before he can begin a new one with Lily.  He's all about handling business.

For Ace, being a successful businessman is more than financial statements and long hours in the office, but includes taking care of "business" at home. It is his reputation as a tenacious and personable young man that has awarded him friendships with two local businessmen who exemplify the work-life balance of financial stabilty and doting husband. In Ace's eyes, they are the kings of their own perspective castles who value the queen in their lives. He is willing to risk life and limb to also stand alongside them and rid himself of his old "house of cards" once and for all.
