Abstract is becoming more appealing to me all the time. I used to think I liked art to look like the real thing, but I heard something somewhere that made me change my ideas... If you want something to look exact- take a photograph! It is fun to just play around with color and shapes and see what comes out. I decided this painting made me think of a garden.

For my planned abstract watercolor, I decided to use a collage I made with magazine pictures as my "plan" and try to imitate the textures from the collage. This is my magazine collage:
