Street Portrait

Was out exploring near Underground Atlanta when I came across this homeless lady sitting by herself in a square. She was playing a crossword puzzle, and really had a darker vibe about her. I decided to put the photo in b&w because her cloak was grey, along with the concrete in front of her, and it would blend well as all greys. I enjoy this photo as one a street portrait, because this was a pretty haunting feeling of what it could feel like to be homeless, and really shows a side of the world most of us may not experience.

Look Up

I wanted to create a field of depth with my lookup shot, so I made sure to capture the video camera on the shot as well to give a little more depth to the image, as well as give a darker contrast to the light colored buildings.

It was a foggy day in Atlanta, and I wanted to capture one of the Marta trains emerging from the fog into a terminal. I set up on the edge of a station, and waited for the train to come in. While waiting I made sure to center my surroundings, and try to create a symmetrical photo with a focal point.
