AFTER - BOOKSHELF

Hello, my name is Jackie and I live with my 9 year old daughter and two cats.  I have been wanting to revamp my home for a while now - especially my living room.  My daughter has claimed this room as her playroom (I'm gonna scream if I step on another Barbie accessory) so it usually filled with her books and playthings.

I need this space to be a place we can gather as a family, entertain guests, and still give my daughter a place to do her usual activities.

AFTER - BOOKSHELF

While I was figuring out placement, I realized that I barely own any BLING.  My tastes are more earthy so I have always preferred wood over metallic/shiny anything.  I felt some bling would lighten it up a bit, so when I came across my little brass incense burner I squealed with glee!

Since I am lacking bling and botanicals, I thought I would include bits of my daughter's rock collection on each shelf.  I really like how it turned out.

This is my favorite shelf.

AFTER - COFFEE TABLE (1st try)

The cigar box holds the tv remotes (!!). I wasn't too sure about the tray in the middle so I changed it...
