I tried to push the timing of the transformation from 2D-3D with a simple square-to-cube transition. I also manipulated some shape layers to mimic the wavy texture shown in the final example of lesson 2.
"Arnold's Big Reveal"
Inspired by the rotating background from lesson 1. I cribbed some of the timing of the reveal, but used the scribble effect and the trim path animation to give two different, offset animations of the main "cat" shape.
"That wasn't who I thought it was."
Facial expression animation. Pushed the turbulent displacement in the adjustment layer to make the animation much more squiggly. Took advantage of precomposing for each eye, and then offset some of the animation after duplicating the precomp.
