I followed all the steps and completed this as an exercise in one sitting. Honestly, it was so much fun, I couldn't stop. This was such a different way of creating something and it was great because I had a reference point - me.
I started with 'Loosening up first' and drew whatever came to my mind over a drawing I had made ages ago. My depiction of the Girl in a Green Scarf got many embellishments. :)
I then created some sketches keeping my eyes closed on Photoshop. This was a lot easier to do on photoshop than in a sketchbook for some reason. I used different colors in the beginning and just inverted it at the end.
This is me from the back with my ponytail and plants that almost seem to grow out of me - coz my plants are my babies!
My final portrait of me is inspired by a couple of things. Primarily from this meditation practice, I'm following, where we visualize ourselves on a beach and what we would do once we got to the beach in the future. So in this portrait, I imagine myself sitting on the shore, close to the water, with the wind in my face and my breath syncing with the waves. I also imagine myself singing and wearing my giant hoop earrings as that's something I want to do as well.
Thank you, Amber, for this tutorial. This was so much fun. Im usually bound by perfection always and it felt great to create something without it bringing me down.
