A lake without birds.

A lake without birds. - student project

I will try the birds, soon, but to me, they are so small and detailed. I was distracted by my son during this, which further proves how important timing is to watercolor, and it's good to see that in action as I learn. I also had no masking tape to keep the paper flat, and that made reflections challenging once the paper started to curl because of the wash. Also, a hair got on the background layer, I should have just left it, futzing to remove it made things weird in the sky in an obvious place.  Fun, though! I will try again once I have paper and a stretch of time where I can be "not Mom." =)A lake without birds. - image 1 - student project
