A Taste of Buenos Aires

A Taste of Buenos Aires - student project

Mate is one of my favourite drinks and i only discovered it when i met my Argentinian husband. If you haven't heard of it, you can find it in your local latino grocery store and it's a staple in many South American countries. Also, if you haven't heard of dulce de leche, it's the most creamiest and delicious caramel sauce that you can find in these Alfajores cookies i shot. Enjoy!

This class was awesome and taught me so much! Finally got me using my DSLR again and this was the first time i used it in fully manual mode. Just from this one shoot i learned so much, and would definitely do a lot of things differently next time around, including choosing the time of day I shoot since I just didn't have enough light. Also, i found my shots had a way higher depth of field that I wanted but because i needed to let more light in, going to a lower f stop meant extending that depth of field. Would love to know your thoughts of some other things I could have done to keep the subjects in a bit more focus while still bringing in enough light into the shots.
