I made this swirling fantasy in Procreate using red, purple and cream colours.  I also added some creamy coloured water droplet smudges to make it stand out.

Hello Rich,

After listening to your feedback I created more artwork in Procreate. In this artwork below, I added "A Swirly Fantasy'.   

I include some smudging, an overlay and used Procreate's Syrup brush to add some drip smudges as you suggested.  Some spray paint, water droplets and a splatter brush was used too. I call it "A Real Mess".

Here are the Procreate brushes and tools I used for this artwork to achieve this look: smudging, water wet sponges, water blotches, splatter brush and liquify.  

I added the swirly fantasy, pictured above, in a couple of layers throughout this piece to allow some pinks to show through. I also used the overlay effect on a couple of layers as you suggested.

 I used the decimals brush in another layer for a 'mesh' look.

Same digital painting above but I added some splatter layers, toned it down a tad and gave it a 'twirl' effect in some areas.
