Spoonflower is having a limited color challenge right now and I was working on this pattern but struggling to get the repeat to work properly. This class was such a big help! I've linked to the pattern on Spoonflower and created a few mockups to go with it.
I found this image on Unsplash (great resource for free stock images) and used it to create a quick mockup.
I totally love how it looks on gift wrap! Might have to get some made for presents.
And this is the pattern tile. I ended up just using the whole image as the tile, rather than cropping it to the size of the repeat; I was worried otherwise that it wouldn't work. I also checked "wraparound" when using the offset filter, which saved me the extra step of copying the tile for left and right, and once all the tiles were repeated I added a few more elements on top. Hoping that makes the pattern a little more interesting to look at. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the color combo but it wasn't a choice - very specific hex numbers required for this challenge! Now on to the next project :)
