A Quiet Bath

Work in progress... got everything vectorized, but really looking forward to learning about adding some pattern or texture because it feels very flat to me.  I'm having a hard time with her face and hair; they are so much more detailed than everything else in the picture and it looks wierd to me.  Any suggestions? And please share any constructive criticisms on the rest, I can take it and it will only make it better!

I also want to add some sort of border to fill up the rest of the page, that will be in the next version. I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's process, thank you for sharing!

Next step of the project... kind of finalized my image and layout. I want to add some patterns in there to give it a sort of mystical India/Thailand feel, but I think I'll wait until I get it into Illustrator to play with it.  My color palette is going to consist mainly of darks blues, teals.

This is my first time doing this... so the one question I have... any tips on the face? I want her features to be soft and not contrasty blocks of color, so any comments on how to do the nose/lips/eyebrows would be very much appreciated!

I like the following one because it is my life right now; coffee is my quiet escape.

And this one... because I feel like I could have some fun with it. A lady in the bathtub, eyes closed, floating away in some night-time dreamy waterscape:
