8 Principles of Styling

I LOVE color, texture, prints and patterns, and artwork everywhere! I have an electic taste and love the look of mixing old and new and everything together.

NEEDS: Dining table and seating to gather and enjoy good company and scrumptious food. I absolutely love this mixed dining set, with the farmhouse table and the rustic and causual dining bench all coming together to heighten the rustic warmth of the room.

SHAPE: Geometic frames add various shapes to a feature wall, especially adding empty frames to focus on their rectangular shapes.

COLOR: This oceanic painting adds a burst of blues and greens to the room, and the bright rug adds warmth with color to this otherwise, neutral room.

PATTERN: This kilim rug adds interest and grounds all the features of the room, as well as to compliment the rustic warmth of the room.

TEXTURE: While there isn't an obvious texture, the rug also breaks up the texture of the smooth hard wood and providing comfort to bare feet while dining.

PLACEMENT: Each picture frame is placed precisely for a well-styled gallery wall.

BLING: A brass Moroccan pendant light hanging above the dining table.

BOTANICALS: Greenery held in an oversized jug-like vase are a delicate balance to the dining scene.
