3191 Miles Apart

One of my favorite email newsletters to get is from MAV and SCB at 3191 Miles Apart – I got their first book back in college for a girlfriend at the time, and so have been following their work for a while now!

Their currently working on a new book project, and upon visiting their website they prompt you to sign up for their email newsletter. After reading what it's all about, it was a no-brainer for me.

  • "We are thrilled to be offering you a weekly newsletter that will arrive in your email inboxes every Sunday. This newsletter will include exclusive behind-the-scenes looks into the book process as well as links to some of our favorite things from the week."

I think what I enjoy about their emails are how personal they are. It provides a behind the scenes look at their creative process. I would imagine their "business goal" is to sell the books when they come out at the end of the year, but that isn't strongly presented anywhere. Instead they're providing stories and suggesting products and artists they love which has me looking forward to their note every Sunday morning.

Will I be buying the book when it comes out? For sure! After recieving these glimpses of the book in process, it's going to be hard to resist.

What do you think about their email? Would you sign up?
