Day 9: Self care necessities include hiking or just getting outdoors, taking a long hot shower and pampering myself with a face mask, taking a yoga class, and playing the piano.

I experimented with some new supplies and a looser style today. I kind of like how it turned out.

Materials used: Canson mixed media paper, Faber Castell gelatos, Tombow markers and calligraphy pen.

Day 8: I've been wearing the "newborn mommy uniform" lately. This consists of comfy, loose sweatpants and maternity shirts, a nursing pillow, a burp rag, baby spit-up on each shoulder (from the times I forget the burp rag), a hair scrunchie to keep my hair away from the vise-like grip of tiny fingers, and of course, a sleeping baby.

I've started challenging myself to use a limited color palette in my journal entries going forward. I'm trying to learn how to find good color combinations from learning the color wheel.

Materials used: Canson mixed media paper, Royal Talens Indian ink, Tombow calligraphy pen, Crayola Signature dual tip markers, Uni Posca paint pen, Uniball signo pen.

Materials used: Canson mixed media paper, Sennelier ink brush, Winsor & Newton fineliner, Royal Talens Indian ink, Tombow calligraphy pen.
