I'm not much for grim storytelling, so my Minotaur escaped the whole affair by following Theseus' thread back to the door. I decided to work primarily in grayscale to focus more on value and used bold, graphic shapes for clarity, somewhat inspired by Lou Romano's color script for The Incredibles.
[Update: Revised frames 7 & 8 to emphasize the reveal.]
PROJECT 1: Fierce and Unequal Combat
"It is very evident," answered Don Quixote, "that thou art not versed in the business of adventures: they are giants: and, if thou art afraid, get thee aside and pray whilst I engage with them in fierce and unequal combat."
Not quite finished with it, but I've tried to keep everything in frame as simple and clear as possible. I gave Don Quixote diagonal, eager lines, while Rozinante the horse has more solid and unmoving stance with his straight vertical lines.
