I will try again, but my first go at it this evening did not work. I had a few challenges with my tools. I found there was not enough liquid in my pan to properly use the thermometer and therefore let the liquid get beyond the tempature it should without knowing. The other thing I did was use Almond meal instead of flour. I did not pay close enough attention when I purchased the item. While it went through the fine sifter, it did not appear smooth at all.
All that said doing this one person with no stand mixer is not ideal.
