Day 2-What I Learned

With working from home, I sit in front of a big window and the wildlife that I have seen in my own backyard is pretty incredible.

Day 2 of this project allowed me to document something I have had the opportunity to watch unfold.

 Day 3 Creating With...

My take away for this prompt was most definitely...use a ruler for long lines. My freehand is atrocious :-)

Day 4 Latest Reading Materials

I love to read and also listen to Audio Books, In the days before Covid I travelled 1.5 hours each way for work daily so Audio books were my co-pilot and I generally have 2 books going at any given time one to physically read and one to listen to, I am soooo glad I decided to listen to Anna Karenina...and not read it!!

Day 5 Ingredients to my Mess

Working from home has created a huge mess on in my creative space, they are co-existing and chaotic most of the time but I seem to manage in spite of it and to my dismay...we are in stay at home orders and my white pens ran out so I had to be satisfied with lettering in black to complete this prompt....

Day 6 Daily Routine

Never really looked at my day as routine but it actually is if I think about it! So this was fun and an eye opener!

Day 7 Current Cravings

This prompt made me want the things I shouldn't have more!

This also wasn't a very good attempt on my part, some days are better than others I guess but all in all, I still enjoyed doing it.

Quick story about the Lola. This was a frozen treat readily available in the province I grew up in when I was a kid. I married and moved to another province that didn't have them. Several years later I moved back to my original province. I was so excited about sharing this simple treat with my  kids but they were no where to be found. When I spoke to people they thought I had made it up because they didn't know what I was talking about so I got in touch with the manufacturer and there was 1 place left in the province that still sold them and I drove for about 3 hours to get these $2 treats for my kids to try. Sadly a year later they stopped manufacturing them altogether but at least I was able to share a piece of my childhood with my kids. :-)

Day 9-Self Care Necessity

Walking every day with Aurora is an absolute necessity for both her health and my mental well being! Can't imagine life without her. Was always a cat person but my son convinced me to get her and I am so in love with her!!!1st Time Journaling Attempt- 14 Day Challenge - image 9 - student project

Day 11-Favourite Corner

5 Days a week I sit and look out my window while working from home and I experience the smells and sounds of nature. The neighbours Lilac tree's hang heavy and the scent wafts through my window. I see my patio furniture waiting to be used and it makes me dream of weekends, 5:00 and relaxing with a glass of wine in my yard. This has become my favourite corner to also watch birds and small creatures go about their days gathering and singing and it has made me appreciate the little pleasures life has to offer each day.
