I really liked this obsessed theme which I think sums everything else Ive been journaling about in the last days, I gathered ideas that I liked from my previous work and put them together, at the end I had a lot of spaces and tried to merge everything with what I thought would be a 70s pattern that Im obsessed with but turned out like a yellow weird bump, I tried to let it go and think of it like scrambled eggs which I really like too
Day 13: fav recipe
I trully now realize I eat way too much pasta, this is my favorite recently.
Day 12: toletry bag favorites
Day 10: grocery run
This time I wanted to really capture the color and joy that represents going grocery shopping for me, I copied the style I did previously of the cravings prompt and I loved how it turned out with the vegies as well. At this point Im realising I eat way too much pasta lol
Day 9: self care necessities
Today I wasnt really in the mood of journaling but I did it anyways and it actually made me feel better.
Day 8: I keep wearing
I recently bought this blazer that is sooooo georgeous and nice and ai pretty much stole it because it was so so cheap and now I cant stop wearing it. Ive been really inspired by the 70s fashion so I started buying flared jeans and shiny things so my style is pretty much business casual but make it fun!
Day 7: current cravings
Once again my love for purple really shows, its the only marker I have and also my favorite color so I dont mind it. I always crave pasta, no matter when youre reading this, but also now that fall arrived I really want those fruits that you can only get during this season and also my body craves them for tue vitamins and delicious dishes you can make with them.
On the other hans I reaaaaallly crave more than anything to be able to hang out with my friends again and go to concerts and new adventures together.
Day 6: daily routine
I'm starting to see a pattern in the color palette, mi love for purple really shows. Sorry my eye looks kinda evil but its spooky season so its fine.
Day 5: ingredients to my mess
I always say I have everything in order but my mom says I absutly dont, I think is because I have a lot of stuff, I love fashion so I have always earings, necklaces, shoes, coats, perfume, purses and all kind of accesories lying around. Because of this I wanted to create a messy but organised look which I think turned out more messy than organised but thats ok, also failed terribly on the boots on the bottom but thats ok too.
Finally just in for spooky season, I always have fairy lights in my room and just yesterday I exchanged them for pumpkin lights which are just pretty much tossed over my desk, I like that "effortless" look. Also tried to stick to just two colors this time, I think it turned out fine.
Day 3: Creating With...
While being in quarantine I couldn't go out to buy art supplies and I had A LOT of free time so very quickly I found myself buying a lot of clothes and stuff from the internet, at one point I was overwhelmed so one day I sat down and decided I wanted to create something but the only thing I had were the small carton clothing tags and some old acrylic paint and so it began my love for tiny paintings, I was very happy to see that something that would've just ended up in the trash turned our to be something pretty to decorate my room, give to my friends and just ease my mind.
I decided to join the challenge of sticking with just three colors instead of a variety like in my previous work and I loved it.
Day 2: Recently I Learned
Just yesterday I learned about this piece of art and all the controversy it was created around it, just a banana taped to the wall. I learned it was sold to the Guggenheim Museum for 150,000 usd or actually what was sold was a certificate that guaranteed that the banana that's there is a product of Cattelan's vision and also it comes with instructions: the banana is just any regular banana but it needs to be placed at -37 degrees and over 172cm above the floor (actually that's very high for me, I'm 153 cm) and it's replaced every 10 days. There are many theories and controversy on if its art or not, for me everything that starts a conversation can be qualified as art, certainly all this analysis would've never come by just looking at any other banana, no one else had THE idea of puting a banana in such a way before. For me the meaning behind it is how absurd our whole culture is, which also would justify the name of the piece which is "Comedian".
Day 1: Currently Listening
The NBHD 4th album just dropped last week and I've been listening to it nonstop, I am a huge fan and I love the new sounds, lyrics but also the style of this new album, it's so different of everything they've done before and that inspires me to try new things as well. The main character of this era is Chip Chrome, some kind of shiny alien who also inspires me to be myself, to shine and never tone down my personality just to be liked. I used oil crayons to make this, it was a bit messy but I liked the texture and colors, also I wanted to make this kinda cartoonish because of the album theme.
