This challenge has been difficult to keep up with as life is more busy preparing for Christmas...
I can say it is a good growing experience to return to drawing real life objects and learning how to give a more caring perspective when self-critiquing. I've felt stuck in moving to do art because I harshly criticized myself and what I created not looking "perfect". Hopefully (slowly but surely) doing this challenge will help crack me out of my shell. :)
(By the way, just in case this confuses anyone, this object is an adjustable phone stand)
Putting this here just in case this helps anyone else.
This folder has helped me stay organized for the 14 day challenge so far. On the front cover sleeve I put the basic directions for drawing part and lower half is the Caring Critique instructions summarized. (This helps me a lot when I am about to draw and forget all the guidelines/rules.)
Inside the folder, on the right-side pocket I have blank printer paper along with sticky notes for the caring critique. And on the left-side pocket, I have the finished pieces all in one place.
Hope this helps someone else out there! Happy Holidays!
(Combining two basic shapes was not as easy as I thought... I'll have to keep practicing. :)
(Days later than what would normally be the 8th day. Haha
But now holidays are done and I can return and finish the remaining days in this challenge. Woohoo!)
(I took more time on this one so that I could try an additional angle. And oh man did that show me much. Different angles of the same object will definitely help challenge me to grow)
When you just keep going so you can tell yourself you finished and feel that personal achievement...
