CLASS TOPIC: Creating a Magazine Using InDesign and Photoshop
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever looked at a digital magazine and thought, "I wish I could do that!"? Just imagine the feeling of accomplishment as you swipe left (turn the page) of your own magazine. In this course students will learn various graphic design elements, such as typography (choosing the right font), editing photos, magazine layout, and cover design using InDesign and Photoshop. If you complete one video per day, you will have a 10-page magazine to proudly share with your readers for them to view on any web device, tablet or smart phone.
Those that are involved in meetups, boys/girls scout troops, organizations, etc., this would be an excellent project to do as a group to share events, member participation, and service projects with your family, friends, and community. Be sure to delegate assignments as needed. For example, you will need writers, photographer or someone to collect photos, an editor, etc. Once you complete the course, you will be able to add as many pages as you need for larger publications.
