(In)Tense silence

I thought going with "quiet" would be more interesting, but I am not sure that what I came up with is really appropriate. I am a literal person and not very good at having conceptual ideas. This is a scene that may be "quiet" more that a symbolic illustration of "quiet".

The words are not on the jpeg, so here they are:

Still

subdued

static

clouds

mist

grey

blue

night

silhouette

blanket

shudder

underlying tension**

This last idea caught me. Sometimes the most awkward/intense moments are completely silent, and one strains to listen to anything - which in itself sometimes becomes loud. So for this image I tried to have characters that have very tense relations with another and who are not speaking - not even looking at one another.
