Gobos are an amazing yet simple tool to add more interest to your image. But what are Gobos? Well, the word “gobo” stands for “go between object” and means that you place an item in front of a flash or lens to throw a funky effect onto your model or background. We will show you "professional" Gobos that are very affordable - but also even household items that can create a great background effect.

And considering that many of us are working from home right now - it might be the perfect time to experiment with new creative designs for your backgrounds! Gobos do require a bit of experimenting: The right distance to the background, the right angle and flash setting - but once you get the hang of it: They are so much fun! They can transform a boring plain background into a scene from a Hitchcock movie or a Hollywood Blockbuster. And - they can save you a lot of money on backgrounds in the long run.
