With Singapore’s hot and humid weather, people with eczema must actively take better precautions to care for their skin and prevent flare-ups. Even while we stay indoors, eczema flare-ups may still occur especially among people with very sensitive skin or uncontrolled eczema. There are several home remedies you can opt to do for eczema treatment.

Shower in lukewarm water.
After bathing, just pat your skin dry. Avoid rubbing the towel against your skin.
Regularly apply moisturizers suitable for sensitive skin.
If you can’t avoid scratching, cover the affected area with a dressing and wear gloves at night to minimize skin damage.
Apply your creams or medications as prescribed by your dermatologist, such as steroid creams, antihistamines and anti-itching lotion.
