Skillshare Premium Members are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 5th @ 3PM ET for a live online Zoom session with Rosalie Haizlett. Rosalie will help us develop our observation skills in the outdoors and create fun, abstract paintings inspired by nature's intricacies! Observing and painting nature's textures will give you a newfound appreciation for the natural details around you that you may have otherwise missed. The session will run for approximately 60 minutes. Click the “Remind Me” button above to register!

Rosalie Haizlett is an illustrator specializing in creating captivating hand-rendered visuals relating to the natural world. Every few months, she travels to a new place to create work inspired by that natural locale. Her clients have included Patagonia, Smithsonian International, the National Audubon Society, and the National Parks Service. Rosalie is also passionate about sharing her talents with others through education. To date, she’s shared her skills with more than 15,000 students on Skillshare.

Throughout the session, you’ll be encouraged to work alongside Rosalie and ask questions. Feel free to add questions in advance of the event (discussion forum below) or bring them live to the Zoom session. If you’d like to paint alongside Rosalie, we recommend bringing the following materials:

  • Watercolor paints (any brand!) or watercolor pencils
  • Sketching pencil
  • Eraser
  • Small sheet of watercolor paper (5x7" or 8x10" will be perfect, but any size will work!)
  • Watercolor brushes. Rosalie recommends having a small (size 2-3) and medium (size 4-6) brush on hand.
  • Clean water and a cloth or paper towel for blotting.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
