Get playful with graphic design and communicate a message that’s meaningful to you! Artist and designer Jennet Liaw guides students through a fun design exercise to combine typography, illustration, and found imagery into a cohesive image—and shows why design is one of the best tools we have to communicate across cultural, language, and physical divides.
Skillshare Premium Members are invited to join us on Friday, June 12th at 3pm ET for this live online Zoom session with Jennet. The session will run for approximately 60 minutes. Click the “Remind Me” button above to register!
Jennet Liaw is a graphic artist most known for her work with illustration and typography. She has been designing at the crossroads of music, fashion and entertainment at Nike and Universal Music for the greater part of her career. Separately, her murals and brand campaign work have independently generated a clientele that includes Coca Cola, the NBA, Adidas, Airbnb, Puma, HarperCollins, amongst others. She has taught over 4,000 students on Skillshare.
Throughout the session, you’ll be encouraged to work alongside Jennet to create an image to help connect you with your neighbors, friends, and family, whether you choose to post it on Instagram, create a print out to tape to your window, send it as a card to a loved one, or make a tote bag or shirt from your piece.
Feel free to add questions in advance of the event (discussion forum below) or bring them live to the Zoom session. We look forward to seeing you soon!
