About this Live Session

Add visual interest to your portraits with hand-painted textures and a collage-inspired style.

Skillshare Premium Members are invited to join us on Tuesday, April 27th at 2:00 PM CET (9:00 AM ET) for a live online Zoom session with photographer Sophia Emmerich to learn all about how and why she adds hand-painted textures during her editing process. The session will run for approximately 60 minutes. Click the button above to register!

This live session will include:

  • A discussion of how adding unique elements in photo editing can help tell the story of the person you’re capturing
  • An explanation of how Sophia creates these hand-painted textures, and scans them in to use them in photo edits
  • A chance to edit along with Sophia, creating a collage-like portrait using hand-painted elements

This class will be great for photographers of any level who want to add something new to their editing. It's recommended you bring along a portrait of yourself or someone else that you want to edit. And don’t worry—you don’t need any painting skills! While she’ll walk you through the process of creating your own textures, Sophia will also be providing some pre-made files to help you follow along. You can use these or create your own!

Throughout the session, you’ll be encouraged to work alongside Sophia and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you soon!
