As part of International Women's day the developers were asked to contribute something. We were tasked with the following "Using the composition of a country's parliament as a proxy for employment equality, create a tool to offer suggestions to a woman who can travel upto 10,000 kms to improve her employment chances"

So I used WTO data plotted onto a global projection with D3 to create this spinning globe. The user can select any capital city and see which countries nearby have more equality in their parliament composition.

You can't see from the static image, but the world slowly turns with shadows under the travel path arc or the spinning can be turned off and the globe panned and zoomed with the mouse
